Today is the International Mother Language Day. But I don't think that many people know about it. On this day on 1952 Bangladesh faught and claimed the right to speak in their mother tongue BANGLA...
On the occasion of International Mother Language Day on 21st February, you may be interested in the contribution, made by the World Esperanto Association, to UNESCO's campaign for the protection of endangered languages.

ReplyDeleteWe don't have an honor like yours, as we speak the languages (Spanish and English) of the empires who had ruled over us (one still does).
